Eric Robinson, CPA

As a successful entrepreneur, Eric excels in helping small businesses and nonprofits manage their taxes and finances for growth. Before devoting himself to his CPA firm he was the founder of a business that he grew into a $37 million dollar corporation, earning him recognition by INC Magazine as one the fastest-growing companies. The business was also ranked by VAR (Value-Added Reseller) Magazine as the 48th largest VAR in the nation. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and has appeared as a guest on the BBC, both radio and television. Eric has a deep and abiding commitment to serving his community, region, and state. In addition to supporting countless nonprofits he served four years on the Sarasota County School Board and in appointed board positions for Florida’s Workforce Development, State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota, and the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. He lives in Venice with his wife, Christine, and their children EJ, Johnny, and Princess Madi Grace. Eric received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and master’s degree from Florida International University. As a Navy veteran, he is honored to have the opportunity to serve fellow veterans through OWR.

James Jerome

James Jerome is a Branch Manager with Chase Bank and has been in branch management over 15 years. He has been working in the financial realm for over 20 years. Before joining the financial industry James served in the US Marine Corps in the field of airfield operations. As a leader and a mentor with experience in the financial industry James is committed to providing direction and support with any interaction he has with a client. James has been with his lovely wife for over 20 years and married for 17 of them. Together they have 3 beautiful children Isabel (14) Ana (10) Luke (3). The both Isabel and Ana are students of Pineview in Osprey, Florida and have a passion for volunteering. James likes to spend his free time with his family.

Linda Ann Gorman

Linda Ann Remley, Founding Board Member, is originally from Lowell, Massachusetts and since 1991 a full-time resident of Sarasota, Florida. She’s been a Certified Addictions Professional since 1983, delivering treatments in a variety of capacities and venues for those affected by addiction and their families, colleagues and friends. Some of Linda’s most satisfying work history was assisting Vietnam veterans with their experiences both in combat and later returning home. After becoming aware of the current suicide statistics with America’s veteran community suffering from PTSD, Linda sought the means to be a part of the solution and in 2017 became a Rapid Resolution TherapyPractitioner focusing on trauma resolution.. She currently seeks to support and coach veterans and veteran families in utilizing the most effective therapeutic alternatives, specifically with substance abuse and other addictions affecting today’s military community. Linda is an ordained minister,a Florida licensed realtor and has appeared onstage locally at Theatreworks and The Players Theatre and at the Sarasota Film Festival in the feature film “The Jonestown Defense”.

Jeff Anderson

Jeff Anderson spent 10 years of military training in the elite infantry units around the world, Jeff began working as a security consultant, executive protection specialist for private clients and then subsequently in the entertainment industry. Specializing in military style hand-to-hand and weapons combat, Jeff offers classes and seminars based on practicality and battlefield effectiveness. In Jeff’s survival training, he uses his unique military experience to inject a more realistic view of what to expect in survival scenarios and provide practical solutions. Ultimately his training and experience led him to create Warrior Life, which is fueled by more than 100 of the world’s top instructors in law enforcement, military, and civilian survival schools. Jeff founded Operation Save Our Soldiers, where he has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support nonprofits who are dedicated to eliminating PTSD and saving the lives of veterans, such as OWR. Jeff has volunteered at many of the OWR retreats from the beginning, so he is grateful to have the opportunity to now move into a board member position and share his entrepreneurial skills and knowledge with the organization. He resides with his high school sweetheart and son in Tampa, FL.

Bryan Stern

Bryan Stern is a multiple-tour combat veteran of the United States Army and Navy. He has over 25 years of military experience focused on special operations specializing in Hostage Rescue, Counter-Terrorism, Counter- Proliferation, Critical Technology Protection, and Unconventional Warfare. Bryan has supported, deployed, and operated operations in over 60 countries. His awards and decorations include the Purple Heart medal and has been recognized by the United States Secretary of Defense, Secretary of the Army, Chief of US Army Infantry, and the Director, Defense Intelligence Agency. Bryan was also a military first responder during the attacks on 9/11 in New York City. He is a specialist in near-peer threats, hard-targets, and denied-area/contested-area operations. Bryan has served with the most elite units and agencies within the US Special Operations and Intelligence Communities.

Robert Hastings

Robert Hastings is the Principal of Robert Hastings & Associates, a leadership and communications consultancy focused on the aerospace, defense, and mobility sectors. As a veteran C-Suite advisor, Hastings is a proven leader, business executive, strategic communicator, author, and veterans advocate with a track record of success spanning a forty-year multifaceted career in the military, corporate leadership, and public service. A globally recognized, award-winning military and business leader, Robert is a former Principal Deputy/Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs who lead all Department of Defense communications, public information, and engagement programs. During his tenure with the Pentagon, Robert achieved notable success in military-media relations while managing national-level crises and complex strategic issues. He was a driving force in developing the U.S. Government’s Strategic Communications program. Robert was most recently chief marketing & communications officer for Bell Textron Inc. where he planned and led the successful advocacy campaign which helped win the U.S. Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft program—one of the Department of Defense’s largest and most significant acquisition programs to replace the Army’s 2000+ Black Hawk helicopters with an estimated lifetime value in excess of $100 billion. The marketing effort has been called one of the best integrated marketing campaigns ever in the defense sector. At BAE Systems, Robert led the successful market repositioning of the UK-headquartered company to be recognized as a critical component of the U.S. industrial base enabling significant U.S. market penetration and growth. At Northrop Grumman, he led communications activities for a newly formed Information Systems Sector winning key campaigns in cyber, military electronic systems, and commercial information technology services. A decorated combat helicopter pilot, Robert is a retired Brigadier General from the Texas Military Department who successfully commanded U.S. Army and state military units from platoon to brigade level. He has served in leadership roles with numerous military and veteran advocacy organizations, including the Army Aviation Association of America, the National Defense Industrial Association, the USO, and the Armed Services YMCA. Robert is a member of the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame, the Defense Information School Hall of Fame, and the winner of the prestigious Lt. Col. Maggie Megellas award for distinguished public service. He has been supporting Operation Warrior Resolution in many different ways over the last several years, as it is a cause that he’s deeply passionate about, so he is honored to be joining in this mission now as a Board Member.

David Marquet

David Marquet is a retired U.S. Navy submarine commander and student of leadership. While captain of the USS Santa Fe, he transformed one of the worst-performing submarines in the fleet to one of the best by using his Intent-Based Leadership approach, creating a disproportionate number of subsequent submarine commanders and leaders. His bestselling book Turn the Ship Around! has been translated into fifteen languages. He is also author of Leadership is Language, a Wall Street Journal bestseller. David is honored to bring his military experience and his extensive knowledge in leadership to further the mission of OWR. He resides on the Gulf Coast of Florida with his wife and enjoys continuing to travel to many different parts of the world.

Steve Epstein

Steven (Steve) Epstein enlisted in the United States Army after high school, serving from 1975-1978, which began his life of service. Steve earned his MBA from Plymouth State University and a BS in Marketing from Rider University. After graduating college Steve moved to New Hampshire (NH) and in 1983 began a 14-year career in the banking industry. What followed was almost a decade of economic development work in the nonprofit sector, first for the Belknap County Economic Development Committee (EDC), then for the Grafton County EDC. He then worked for USDA Rural Development based out of the Concord, NH office; responsible for delivery of programs to assist small businesses in New Hampshire and Vermont unit he retired in May of 2014. Since retiring, Steve has been involved on the boards of The Capital Area Wellness Coalition and Friends of the Merrimack River Greenway Trail. In addition to currently serving on the Operation Warrior Resolution (OWR) board, he also serves with the Volunteer NH, Fair Tide. Steve has been looking for a veteran’s organization to serve with and is grateful to have joined OWR in their mission. Steve and his wife Susan split their time between Kittery, ME and Sarasota, FL. Steve enjoys traveling, pickleball, hiking, kayaking and quality time with Susan and their grandchildren.
