Yoga for Veterans and Their Families

Combat Conscious Yoga is a weekly yoga class specifically designed for veterans and their family members. This veteran centered yoga class is a gentle yoga flow, while incorporating breath work to regulate the nervous system. The intention of the class is to provide service members more mobility in the body and a state of calm in the mind. Throughout each class there will be teachings on how to utilize yoga towards resolving military and transitioning related challenges.

"There are a number of things I could point at as examples of how Combat Conscious yoga for Veterans has changed my life, both mentally and physically. If I were to pick one thing though, I think it is learning the ability to reset and refresh my thinking in any moment, by utilizing the breathing techniques that I have picked up through yoga. These techniques are especially helpful when dealing with stressors in your daily life, or a situation that is not typical but causes elevated stress and/or anxiety.”
